Show OUTLOOK ; : HHH is the only way! s 1 Jen By John Charles Bernhardt The outcome of the current presidential race may well determine the future of the world. Mankind is faced with three possible futures. These are the futures offered by Hubert Humphrey, Richard Nixon and George Wallace. The question is the future that each man offers. Vice President Humphrey offers the best hope of the three. He is a man who is dedicated to equality for all men and will do what he can to achieve that goal. It would be better if Vice President Humphrey would be more militant in seeking change, but there is no doubt he is a right-thinking man. If, as must be hoped, Vice President Humphrey becomes President Humphrey, the future is as bright as it can be in a world where nations still war with each; other and where racism threatens to destroy dozens of naticjns. I Racial Catastrophe j THe future offered by Mr. Nixoh stands between that of Vice President Humphrey and Mr. Wallace. Mr. Nixon shows by his every! speech and by many years of racist activities that as a President he would lead the country rapidly down the road toward racial catastrophe. With Mr. Nixon as President, it would be a miracle if by 1972 the black children in Salt Lake City were not in concentration camps or perhaps in front of firing squads. Offers Bleak Future The bleak future offered by Mr. f Wallace would mean tfrti: I disaster for all mankind. If at Wallace became Presides!, t would mean that third of 4 ; I population favoring deporting i I black Americans would be i . power. This would bring atav civil war resulting in millions t: deaths on both sides. Surely Alabama National Guard would only too happy to slaughter children. Beyond the internal calamit I that the election of Mr. Wafe r would case is the internatiot scene. Mr. Wallace, often rash an o impulsive, would find no trout; f. in starting a nuclear war kifc more than half of the work' it population. Humphrey Logical Choice I a.
