Show Photo Contest Winners Announced category. Alfred S. Mardeuse won the portrait por-trait category. There were 110 entries in the 11 contest categories. Spokesman for the Darkroom Committee, sponsors of the contest, noted this was a decrease de-crease in the iumber of entries from last quarter, although the number of categories was increased. Entries in the contest are on display dis-play in the Union East Ballroom until June 6. Entries should be picked up by June 6 and entries not picked up by June 10 will be destroyed. Winners of the spring quarter Union photo contest were announced announc-ed Tuesday. University students Bruce Chris-tensen, Chris-tensen, Brent Herridge and Bill Cowles made good showing in the contest by winning and placing in several categories. Christensen placed first in the glamour and sports and hobbies categories and third in the scenic and travel category. Herridge copped first place in the open class and first and second places in the abstract category. Cowles won the still life category and placed second in the scenic and travel group. The babies, children and teen group first and second places were won by Gregory Cullis. John Ned-sen Ned-sen won the human interest category cate-gory Leslie Scopes was first in scenic and travel and second m the open class. Animal and Pets was won by Verl Housley, while Brian Record won the occupations and industry |
