Show , urn -i ( sm - - n ilfl.i i '' n' 1 mr-" ""f Composer Henry Mancini will conduct and play with the Utah Symphony Sym-phony Orchestra in a Dec. 2 concert. The program will feature Mancini's Oscar winning tunes "Peter Gunn," "Moon River" and "Days of Wine and Roses" and a medley of six Beatle songs. "Peter Gunn" and the score from "Breakfast at Tiffany's" including the song "Moon River" netted Mancini Man-cini two Academy Awards as well as Grammy and other awards. The tune "Peter Gunn," theme of a television show, sold over one million mil-lion copies. Mancini also received an Oscar for his "Days of Wine and Roses." Since 1954, he has received 17 Grammy awards and has been nominated 19 times for movie, television tele-vision and recording awards in addition ad-dition to the Academy Awards. Tickets are available at the Huddle Ticket Booth from 12-1 p.m. daily. Henry Mancini, Academy Award winning composer, and the Utah Symphony will combine talents for a concert on Dec. 2 at 8 p.m. in the Tabernacle. Well known as a composer and conductor of motion picture and television scores and for his recordings, record-ings, Mancini will include several of his own works in the 32 number program. One segment of the concert titled "Portrait of the Beatles" is a medley med-ley of Beatle songs including such numbers as "Hard Day's Night," "And I Love Her," and "Yesterday." "Yester-day." 'From Hollywood' "Mancini from Hollywood," another an-other portion of the program, will feature movie themes such as "Exodus," "Pink Panther" and "Peter Gunn." This year's Oscar winner, "Born Free," and theme from "Zorba the Greek" will be included along with others in the "Foreign Film Festival" Fest-ival" set. In the varied program Mancini will play the flute and piano and conduct. He will conclude the concert con-cert with "Three by Mancini" "Days of Wine and Roses," "Charade" "Char-ade" and "Moon River."
