Show Modest Proposal As we understand it, medieval castles sported water wa-ter obstacles and wooden drawbridges to slow the entry en-try of invading armies. Now we've got a water pipe obstacle in front of Milton Bennion Hall and a wooden bridge to go with it. That bridge may not be a drawbridge, but it has the same, creaky, 500 year old drawback: It not only makes it harder for invading armies to get in, it makes it considerably harder for fleeing students to get out. Chronicle guestion of the day: When will the Security Se-curity Dept. either barricade the two parking spaces that block the front of that bridge or start ticketing cars that park there? For heck sakes, without those cars there in front of the bridge, students could almost ride across on horseback which will soon be the only way to stay out of the campus mud anyway. |
