Show Noted Surgeon to Speak Norman Cecil Tanner, inter-lationally inter-lationally known British surg-(on, surg-(on, will present the fourth Phil- ... ip B. Price Lecture of the University Uni-versity College of Medicine. The lecture will be in Orson Spencer Hall Auditorium Thursday, October Octo-ber 6 at 8 p.m. Mr. Tanner is consulting surgeon sur-geon to Charing Cross Hospital, London, and senior surgeon to St. James Hospital. He is a Fellow Fel-low of the Royal Society of Medicine, a member of the Council of England and an Examiner Ex-aminer in Surgery at Cambridge and London Universities. Mr. Tanner is recognized for his contributions con-tributions to surgery of the esophagus eso-phagus and the stomach. While in the United States, Mr. Tanner will be installed as an honorary Fellow of the American Ameri-can College of Surgeons, at the '52nd annual Clinical Congress in San Francisco. Price lectureship was contributed contrib-uted by alumni and faculty of the College of Medicine; students; stu-dents; and friends of Dr. Price, Dean Emeritus and former head of the Department.
