Show U. Chem Prof, Dr. Malm, Dies Dr. Lloyd E. Malm, formerly professor of chemistry at the University, died at the age of sixty last Wednesday at 1:30 a.m. of natural causes. DR. MALM, who began his teaching career at the University Univer-sity in 1942, was honored at the .University commencement in the spring of 1965 for his distinguished teaching. He also received the 1963 Utah Award of the American Chemical Society, So-ciety, Salt Lake Division. Dr. Malm received his Bachelor Bache-lor of Science from Bethany College Col-lege in his home town of Linds-borg, Linds-borg, Kansas, in 1928, and his Ph.D. from the University of Kansas in 1932. He received an honorary doctor's . degree in chemistry in 1961 from Bethany College; he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, Alpha Chi Sigma, and Sigma Xi honorary fraternities. |
