Show Orchestra-Choir CombineTalent In Sunday Sing The University Symphony Orchestra, Or-chestra, conducted by Dr. David A. Shand, and the University A Cappella Choir, conducted by Dr. Newell B. Weight, will combine com-bine forces to present a concert on Sunday, May 22, at 3 p.m. in Room 200 of the Music Hall. THE PROGRAM includes Mozart's Mo-zart's "Concerto for Bassoon," the Overture Fantasy to Tchaikovsky's Tchai-kovsky's "Romeo and Juliet," "Variations Symphoniques for 'Cello and Orchestra" by Boell-mann, Boell-mann, and Vaughan Williams' "Toward the Unknown Region." Featured soloists are Roger Hicks on the bassoon, and Rebecca Re-becca Sollender on the 'cello. Other "coming events" in the University Music Department include the Student Composer's Concert ,on Tuesday, May 24; David Freed's 'cello concert on Thursday, June 2; Lonnie Adams' piano recital on Friday, June 3, and the Gail Plummer Memorial Scholarship Concert, with Grant Johannesen, on Saturday, Sat-urday, June 11.
