Show Toughest Aquatic T((ll In Nation to Meet I) I By JANET HEMING Chronicle Sports Editor Both the UCLA Bruins and the USC Trojans are complacently awaiting the arrival of Don Red-dish's Red-dish's varsity swim team this weekend in Los Angeles. The Trojans are riding on a string of 66 straight dual meet victories and the Bruins are fresh off a win over aquatic power Foothill Foot-hill College. THE TWO L.A. schools have team members ranked nationally in every event and must be considered con-sidered two of the strongest swimming squads in the nation. For Utah it's just a question of how much the flu-stricken team has recovered. The Bruin and Trojan relay teams are turning in some of the top college times. National champions cham-pions Rich McGeagh and Bill Craig have combined their talents tal-ents in the 400 yard medley relay re-lay with teammates John Lambert Lam-bert and Mike Siebert to post a 3:40.4. The Bruin four of Jim Monahan, Russ Webb, Stan Cole, and Jim Bailey have done a 3:41.5. The Ute quartet of Terry Craig, Mel Roberts, Dave Fuhri-man, Fuhri-man, and Al Logan have produced pro-duced a conference best of 3:44.2. UCLA HAS most of their strength on the freestyle strokes. Jim Keller (:22.3) and Jim Bailey Bai-ley (:22.7) lead the team in the 50-yard free. They have also posted excellent lOOryard freestyle free-style clockings of :49.1 and 49.9, respectively. In a recent meet with USC, the Bruins' Keller captured runner-up spot to Roy Saari who demolished the 100 freestyle time in :48.0.
