V -i mill 19 Journalists Tapped For Coming Semester Jann Steckel, Editor in Chief yesterday announced the appointment ap-pointment of the new Chronicle staff for the coming semester. MIKE HEYWOOD, a junior majoring in journalism will continue con-tinue as Associate Editor. Mike served in the same position fall semester. He is a Sigma Delta Chi and Kappa Tau Alpha. Gordon Knight has been appointed Associate Business Manager. Man-ager. He is a junior marketing major affiliated with Sigma Chi. SERVING as Managing Editor will be Paul Taylor also a junior majoring in journalism. Paul has previously been feature writer, Feature Editor and Copy Editor for the Chronicle. Harris Vincent, Layout Editor, is a sophomore majoring in speech and has served the Chronicle as News Editor. He is affiliated with Sigma Delta Chi and is active in debate, Spotlight and Challenge Committees. A FIRST ON THE current staff is the Sports Editor, a girl. She previously worked as a sports writer on the paper. Nguyen Trong Hien, a senior majoring in chemical engineering will be Senior Political Editor for the coming term. Hien is a native of North Viet Nam, his family currently make their home in South Viet Nam. COPY EDITOR Lorraine Miller Mil-ler is a junior history major and formerly the Editor of the "Daily Record." Serving as Senior Editors will be Rodney Oliver, a business major; Susan Pratt, a freshman majoring in electrical engineer- Janet Hemming , , , sports editor Lorraine Miller . . . copy editor ing from Oslo, Norway; Jeanette Brown, a freshman with a composite com-posite major of journalism and business; Jane Lobell, a freshman, fresh-man, as yet undecided on her major; Eric Moon, a freshman philosophy major; Dwight Williams, Wil-liams, a junior journalism major, and Steve Swiney, a sophomore majoring in history. Photographers will be Chuck Swanson, Charles Pearce, Dick Howard and Doug Smith. REPORTERS will be Judy Pehrson, Mark Woodworth, John Thomas and Margaret Young. |
