Show -Moon Is U Days Oneen Dalrymple, Hanks Are Attendants Southern belle Joan Moon reigns as queen of "U Days" which will begin next week. Miss Moon is attended by Ann Dalrymple and Jill Hanks. The queen and her two attendants were announced last evening after appearing in formals before judges and an audience performing their individual talents, and having personal ' interviews. SPARKLING GREEN-EYED Miss Moon, who comes to the Universit?y from Swifton, Arkansas, wore an nnusual, brilliant pink designed gown. The 5'5" beauty's talent was a modern dance from Stravinsky's "Petrouchka." The queen is a member of Chi Omega, Orchesis and is majoring in modern dance. This is Ann Dalrymple's second term as attendant to U Day's queen. The charming 5'7" music major played a piano selection from "Pathetique", for her talent number. For the contest, Miss Dalrymple chose a slender scizzored evening gown accented with sweetheart roses. She is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. Soror-ity. Bubbling attendant Jill Hanks wore a gay evening gown in v "? .. . -;. ' i v -'fax f ' . ": J bright colors of orange, yellow and green. A poodle pantamine was portrayed by the short brown-haired coed. Miss Hanks is a junior majoring in nursing. She is a member of Chi Omega and is a song leader. JOAN MOON . . . U Days Queen if' -2 i't The three queens will reign over the various activities of the week beginning Monday with a kite flying contest. Dressed In their grubbies, the girls will head for the mountains Monday afternoon to whitewash the "U". Tuesday they will attend at-tend Henry Mancini's concert. Thursday they will be at song-fest song-fest and Friday they will be presented at the "U Days" dance. Miss Moon will be the University's Uni-versity's entry in the Miss Utah Pagent which will be held in June. Chairman of "U Days" is Ruth Cannon.
