Show University Educator Attends Conference Dr. Sterling M. McMurrin of the University will participate Thursday and Friday with 17 other distinguished American and foreign philosophers at The College of Wooster, Ohio in the Wooster Conference on Comparative Philosophy and Culture. DR. McMURRIN, E. Erickson, Distinguished Professor of Philosophy and appointed provost of the University, will deilver the conference's concluding address, "Concern for the Person." Also scheduled to talk are Dr. Paul Tillich, world renowned religious philosopher; Dr. F. S. C. Northrop of Yale University and Dr. Peter A. Bertocci, Boston University. THE SPEAKER'S rostrum will also be occupied by several other noted thinkers from both eastern and western cultures. The co-educational College of Wooster is a high-ranked small Presbyterian liberal arts school. THE EVENT'S main aim is to promote mutual understanding of the philosophies and cultures of the East and West. |
