SANDERSON also points out the University Placement Bureau, 220 Annex, has comprehensive com-prehensive listings of on and off-campus part-time work which can help the student pay for his schooling. He says the work opportunities opportun-ities for students are almost limitless if there is a real desire and that these offset any argument argu-ment that getting an education is becoming impossible because of cost. One of the most simple solutions sol-utions to the problem of meeting meet-ing the costs of obtaining a university uni-versity education is "just plain old work" says University financial fin-ancial and scholarship director James R. Sanderson. MR. SANDERSON agree these costs are rising but he has several answers to the student who is finding himself in a pocketbook quandry. About half of the approximately approximate-ly 15,000 students at the University Uni-versity are financing their educations ed-ucations by working, both on and off campus, Mr. Sanderson said. THE FEDERAL government's work-study program is in full swing on the University campus and offers an excellent solution to the financial problems of many students. Though the qualification requirements re-quirements of the program are rather stiff, says Mr. Sanderson, this program is open to many students. IT PROVIDES assistance in the form of part-time employment employ-ment for students in need and is provided for under the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964.
