OIZWG- (ELLIS, Nw Mexico f ; cftiAVi;-.i Top WAC Players Chosen For Year 'Five of the six Western Athletic Ath-letic Conference schools each placed a man on the official all-conference all-conference basketball team which was announced Saturday by WAC Commissioner Paul W. Brechler. NAMED TO THE first team are Flynn Robinson, Wyoming; Dennis Dairman, Arizona State; John Fairchild, Brigham Young; Warren Rustand, Arizona; and Dick Ellis, New Mexico. Second team honors went to Jerry Chambers, Utah; Leon Clark, Wyoming; Mel Daniels, New Mexico; Albert Johnson, Arizona; and Dick Nemelka, Brigham Young. RECEIVING honorable mention men-tion and George Fisher and Rich Tate, Utah; Dennis Hamilton and Freddie Lewis, Arizona State; Steve Kramer, Neil Roberts and Mike Gardner, New Mexico; and Randy Richardson and Dick Sherman, Wyoming. The official WAC team is chosen by the players and sports information directors of the conference con-ference schools, each of whom must vote for outstanding opponents. |
