Pop Art Exhibit Opens Today In Union Hall In connection with Challenge Week, which starts Feb. 15, a Pop Art exhibit will be on display dis-play in the main corrider of the Union Building Feb. 9 through 25. THIS EXHIBIT, "The Edge of Pop," has been put on display to introduce Pop Art from the outside to University students. The show consists of the work of 16 artists from the San Francisco Fran-cisco and Los Angeles areas. ON FEB. 15 and 16, the Pop Art exhibit will be connected with Challenge by lectures from William Hill and Lawrence Allo-way. William Hill, of the Los Angeles Ange-les County Museum, will speak on "The Choas of Artistic Creation" Cre-ation" on Feb. 16 at 9 a.m. and Lawrence Alloway, of the New i York Guggenheim Museum, will I discuss "Art: Image of Ameri-1 Ameri-1 can Values?" on Feb. 15 at 1 p.m. THE DISPLAY is being put up a week early in hopes that students stu-dents will look at the art before hearing the lectures. This will give listeners a better understanding of the lectures. |
