Show Post-Election White Wash With the election over and the last stone cast, we think it is about time that those people who live in glass houses clean their windows. President Johnson chose, perhaps wisely, not to answer charges of immorality in his administration leveled by Senator Goldwater and Congressman Miller during the heat of the campaign. But none the less, the still cloudy situation surrounding the Bobby Baker and Walter Jenkins "scandals" needs clarifying, and until all facts are made public they will continue to cast a shadow on the Johnson administration. We hope to see the President appoint a bi-partisan committee to thoroughly investigate all events surrounding sur-rounding the Bobby Baker fortune and subsequent resignation and the pitiful Walter Jenkins episode so that the American people can once again look at the White House and be sure it is white. |
