Show Bowlers To Travel North For Second UIBC Meet Utah's Union Bowling Committee-sponsored keglers will compete com-pete in the second meet of the Utah Inter-Collegiate Bowling Conference Con-ference this weekend at Weber State College in Ogden. Team Captain Jeff McNemar led the Utes to second in the first meet held in Logan Oct. 17 with the high game of 242. He also had the high series of 994 as the Redskins fell just eight pins short of Idaho State. Utah's girls' team didn't fair too well in their competition held in Logan Oct. 24. They finished fifth and will compete in the second round meet in Ogden Nov. 21. The team is still open for men and women members who have not won in excess of $300 in tournaments in the past season. A final championship will be decided after the final match in May. Trophies will be presented to bowlers with high average, high game, and high series. To be eligible for individual awards, a bowler must participate in all regularly scheduled matches. High series award will be for the high five-game series bowled at one regularly scheduled match. |
