There are no enforced restrictions on house hours 'but drinking is outlawed out-lawed within the house of each fraternity. This, the 'Federal Heights owners own-ers charge, forces fraternities to do their "whisky and "beer" drinking in their cars parked along the streets. FRATERNITIES and sororities are careless and inconsiderate in the handling of their garbage and trash," the petition charged. Also "residents who complain of nuisances or disturbances created cre-ated by the fraternities and call the police have on occasion been threatened with retaliation and with threats of damage to their property and with expulsion from the area." To answer the charges made on them, an Executive Committee Commit-tee on Fraternity Housing was established. The committee was chosen to represent a cross-section of the system in terms of geographical area, collegiates, alumni and administration. THIS COMMITTEE formed the following program with the belief that it will correct the problems of parking, traffic congestion, con-gestion, maintenance, garbage disposal, and public relations in general. The University will be asked to provide parking for about 1,300 automobiles every Monday day in the Ore Dressing Laboratory Labora-tory lot. 'Butler Avenue, Federal Way and Wolcott Street will be declared off-limits for the parking park-ing of cars driven by fraternity and sorority members, with the exception of Pi Kappa Alpha who may park on Wolcott. A 1 1 fraternity and sorority members living in the Alpha Delta Pi, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Sigma Pi, Sigma Alpha Epsilon and 'Phi Delta Theta houses will be required to park overnight in the parking lot immediately east of the Kappa House.
