Prof. Edward D. Maryon, assistant ass-istant dean of the College of Fine Arts and head of the department of art and sculpture, sculp-ture, was appointed acting dean of the College of Fine Arts, effective July 1, replacing replac-ing Dean Lowell M. Durham who Is resigning as dean to devote his full time to teaching, teach-ing, composing and arranging. Dr. Edward C. Perl was named nam-ed acting head of the department of physiology, effective July '1, replacing Dr. OarTton C. Hunt who is resigning. Prof. Perl, Who received his B.S., an M.S. and M.TX degrees at the University of Illinois, came to the University in 1957. Dr. Perl served as an intern at the Harvard Har-vard Medical Service, Boston City Hospital; was a fellow in physiology at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine; and later was a member of the department of neurophysiology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He served as both an assistant and associate professor of physiology at the College of Medicine at New York State University. MR. SCOTT Fisher, currently assistant director of residence halls, was named director of the Residence Halls, effective July 1, replacing Dr. Lewis E. Haines, who resigned. ( 'in D.
