Show ' ROBERT HYDE Wilson, director of "The Visit," directs Leora Dana as she makes up for the part of Zachanassian. The play will open this evening at 8:30 p.m. in the. Pioneer Memorial Theater. With Unique Direction Visit' Opens Tonight "The Visit," Friedrich Duerrenmatt's prize-winning tale of suspense, opens tonight at 8:30 p.m. in the Pioneer Memorial Theater. LEORA DANA, who played the shrewish Eliza Gant in last seasons performance of "Look Homeward Angel" portrays the billionairess Claire Zachanassian. Claire pays a visit to her hometown after an absence ab-sence of many years to find the village fallen upon hard times. The townspeople are horrified when she names the"price" for her help. The play, under the direction of i Robert Hyde Wilson, also features Hyde T.. Clayton, Chester Dowse, H. E. D. Redford, Harold Folland, Ralph Margetts, Ron Fredrickson, and Rowena Miller. Director Wilson feels that he sees in the story a version of "The Visit" that hasn't been done yet. "I'm putting the emphasis on Duerrenmatt on the values he himself sees in his writing. I think our production will be uniquely unlike any previous one." I "The Visit" will be staged in 11 performances through Nov. 9, with a matinee each Saturday at 2 p.m. |
