Show BUSINESS WOMEN TO CANVAS TOWN ON HEART SUNDAY The Heart Sunday army will march Sunday afternoon. Promptly at 12:30 p. m., which has been designated as "H-Hour," 20 Heart Fund volunteers vol-unteers will start visiting between be-tween 15 and 25 neighbors each in behalf of the Heart Fund. The one-day, community wide collection is to be completed by 2:30 or 3 o'clock, according to Mss. Lillian Anderson, B P W Club president. The local Business Bus-iness and Professional Women's Club is sponsoring the Heart Fund drive in Milford. "Our Heart Sunday army has a single major objective," Mrs. Anderson said, "namely, support sup-port for the crusade against diseases dis-eases of the heart and blood vessels? These diseases consti- tute aur leading health prob- lem, both nationally and locally. local-ly. They are responsible for more than half of all deaths." Heart Fund contributions, the chairman pointed out, support a three-way attack against the j heart diseases through . re-j re-j search, through public and professional pro-fessional education, and through community heart programs. "It is our hope that every citizen of this community will give generously," Mrs. Ander-vSon Ander-vSon said. |
