Show POLIO ISN'T LICKKT YI-JT ! Medical science has won a groat victory over the polio virus, hut the war against polio is l'ar from finished. It is not over for thousands of patients who suffer from polio's crippling effects. The vaccine came too iatc for them, and many still face long years of expensive, treatment. Thousands more will bo exposed to polio this year. Victory for (hem will depend on how quickly and effectively effec-tively preventive measures can be brought to bear. Even the .scientific victory still is far from complete, One vaccine has been developed it's b'O to 90 effective but scientists are not resting on that accomplishment. They arc exploring possibilities which may lead to other, still hotter vaccines. They are seeking new drugs to aid those stricken, and most of all they are searching for more knowledge of the disease they fight. To clinch the victory the March of Dimes needs your support. A successful drive will provide continued care and treatment for some (8,000 polio patients already on the rolls of the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis. Paral-ysis.
