The purpose ''s to try to improve school s-pirit and get every member of the school to yell their lungs out at pep assemblies and ball games. Wo feel that the Delta game would have been a sure victory if the student body had given the team a good send-off. We would also like the cooperation cooper-ation of the townspeople at the ballgames. Come on kids, let's help the Tigers make the State Tournament! o In this cold weather we need something to warm us up on cold nights, and tacos are the things to do just that. Again this year, taco parties seem to be the fad. Carol Jean Garfield Gar-field and Pat Gronning were hosts at two separate taco parties par-ties last week. o , Has everyone noticed Carol Jean Garffeld going around with a finger on her left hand halls of good old M H S we see a sparkle, and we are curious to see what it is. When we see Dorothy Acklin, then we know. It's that beautiful diamond she received for Christmas, from a certain Leland Craw from Min-ersville. Min-ersville. The happy couple are making wedding plans for "after "aft-er graduation." Good luck, kids! o The Prom Committee of the i Junior Class is getting started j ' on plans for the prom. Ac-! Ac-! cording to Vee Wadsworth, I chairman, the paper is being 1 ordered, and the finals plans 1 I are being made. The theme has I I already been decided upon, J also the type of dress, and some 1 plans on the promenade. I o I Neil Smyth, student body vice president and assembly chairman, is starting to plan I for the traveling assembly. He would l;ke the kids to be i thinking of talent which could be used on the program. He would like it to be the best exchange ex-change assembly Milford has ever presented. 1 o The Mixed Chorus of M H S is planning an operetta to be j presented in the spring, and ; also, they are working on var-j var-j ious other numbers for a concert. con-cert. o I Members of the student council are really carrying on a campaign to try and get the faculty's permission to hold dances a'fter the home basket-; ball games. j o I Everyone remember the big game Friday night Milford's j first league game at home this season: We are expecting the gym to be filled to capacity to watch this game between the Tigers and Parowan, the team slated for the championship of l this region. Although the ( Tigers lost to the Delta Rabbits last Friday, we think that they . ' have the spirit and ability to beat the strong Parowan team. GOOD LUCK, TIGERS! A DAUGHTER waighing &V2 lbs was born at Pasadena, Tex. Dec. 20th, to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rob-ert Martin. Robert is flight commanding officer at Ellington Elling-ton Field, Texas. i all bandaged up? She had an operation last Tuesday to remove re-move some glass which got in 1 her finger during an automo-, automo-, bile accident. 1 1 o I 1 The Tigerettes should look j real "snappy" this Friday when they do their halftime forma-1 tion. Uniforms for this year I are red nylon pleated skirts, white blouses with a Mandarin collar and quarter-length sleeve and wh:te shoes. o I The Student Council will i sponsor a dance immediately following the Milford - Parowan Paro-wan game. It will be loads of fun, according to the Social So-cial Committee which is planning it. Everyone, including in-cluding the Parowan student body, is invited to come out and enjoy the affair. 0 Lynne B., Gayle E., Carlene, and Ethel, have all received letters from Jolaine Archer, who is now making her home in Fort Collins, Colo. She says it's allright, but she would rather rath-er be in Milford- . 0 Since the Christmas holidays .he girls have been sporting circular skirts, sweaters, copper belts, and extra-long strings of beads. Some of the kids are beginning begin-ning to worry a little since this is the last week of the term, they are beginning to wonder i'f their grades are as good as last term's, and if they will be eligible for basketball, Tigerettes, Student Council, and the other organizations. 0 We've noticed the Tigerettes trudging to school every day this week at 12:30 which looks a little suspicious. We understand under-stand they are working real hard on a snappy formation for the Milford-Parowan game Friday night. o While walking down the |
