Show CHARLES WHITE DIES IN TACOMA Mr. W. G. White left Friday for Tacoma, Wash., to attend funeral services for his brother, Charles D. White, who died at 8 p. m. Thursday in a Tacoma hospital after a two-day illness. Mr. White, a master sergeant in the U S Air Force until his discharge at McChord Field a few. years ago, had enjoyed an active military career. Included Includ-ed in his military activities were service under Gen. Carl Spaatz when the general was a major, air crew work under Col Tinker, and recruit drill given to Pvt. Acheson, now Brig. Gen. George" R. Acheson of the Air Force. MSgt. White also served under Gen. Hap Arnold. He enlisted in the army in 1918, served in the Philippine Islands and Russia in World War I. He was active in military mili-tary athletics. |
