Show County Seat News KARL TRUMAN, THURMAN EYRE FILE FOR MINERSVILLE SCHOOL BOARD SEATS A missionary farewell was held Wednesday evening, Nov. 22, in Beaver First-Third Ward chapel for Dan Joseph, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest G. Joseph, who will leave soon for the North California mission. ! Two candidates filed for the position of school board member mem-ber from the Minersville and Adamsville school precinct, according ac-cording to Arlo P. Messenger, school board clerk. Candidates are Karl I. Truman and Thur-man Thur-man Eyre, both of Minersville. The present school board member from this precinct is Truman Bradfield, who is serving serv-ing as vice president of the board, and who did not file for re-election. The election will be held Dec. 6 in Adamsville and Minersville. Students who will graduate from Seminary in the spring entertained their parents at a lovely banquet in the First- , Third Ward dining hall last Wednesday evening, under direction di-rection of Walter S. Kerksiek, seminary principal. The M-Men and Gleaners of ! the Third Ward were entertained enter-tained at a fireside Sunday evening eve-ning after sacrament meeting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Fotheringham at Adamsville. Lee, who will leave soon for the North-Central States mission. mis-sion. The band will be in full uniform and the chorus in their black and white uniforms. Each of the seven wards in the stake puts on a 15-minute act. On the night of the 30th the acts will be presented to the three Beaver wards in the high j school auditorium and also at ' Greenville and MinersVille. Mr. and Mrs. Evan Walker have sold their home and farm interests to Wallace D. Yardley and have left Beaver to make j their home elsewhere. They 1 are now making a tour of northern north-ern Utah, Colorado and Wyoming Wyo-ming to decide where they will make their future home. Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum L. Lee and family are visiting their son Robert and family at Fort Lewis, Wash. j Harry Hodges has returned to Beaver from Tooele, where he went to attend the funeral services serv-ices for his sister-in-law, Mrs. Eva F. Hodges, wife of Ernest , Hodges, who passed away at their home there recently. Mrs. Hodges was the daughter of Alonzo Farnsworth and was well known throughout Beaver County. Mrs. Mildred Yardley recently recent-ly gave a report of her trip to New York City and other eastern east-ern points, to the Better Homes Club, when they were entertained enter-tained by Mrs. Sherman Carter at the C.
