Show Carlyle F. Gronning, Demo nratic candidate for four-year County Commissioner, was born Nov. 26, 1913, at Delta, a, son of T. C. and Trena Fuller Gronning. Gron-ning. He was graduated from the Delta High school in 1932 being elected student body president pres-ident in his senior year. He attended the B A C at Cedar City for two years, and was then called on a mission for the L D S Church in the Central States Mission with headquarters headquar-ters at Independence, Mo. After returning from his mission mis-sion in 1936, he was employed by the Union Pacific at Lynn-dyl, Lynn-dyl, as a clerk. He moved to Milford 'in April, 1 9 3 7 . In May, 1937, he married Blanche Vest of Lynndyl. They now have five children. Mr. Gronning has always been active in social and religious reli-gious functions of the community. commun-ity. He was president of the Elders Quorum for two years, and has served a total of five years as Bishop of the Milford Ward. He first served as bishop from 1941 to 1945, and after' partition of the Milford Ward j Jan. 1, 1950. accepted the duties of Bishop of th'e Second Ward. He served as mayor of Milford Mil-ford for two years, and for the past two years has been chairman chair-man of the Board of Beaver County Commissioners. He alsc served on the Beaver Stake High Council for one year. At present Mr. Gronning it-employed it-employed as chief clerk at the Milford office of the Union Pacific Pa-cific Railroad. |
