Show Hbout politics Alene Williams, candidate on the Republican ticket for County Recorder, is a native of Beaver. A daughter of Grace Smith Williams Wil-liams and the late William S. Williams, Wil-liams, she is a graduate of Beaver High School and the Beaver LDS Seminary. She enlisted in the service of her country in March, 1942, and served for a period of 2 6 months. After her release from the WAC, she was employed as bookkeeper at the Brooklawn Creamery of Beaver from August, 1944 to April 1946, which employ she left to fill a mission for the LDS Church in the Northern California Mission. Mis-sion. She attended the DDS Business College in Salt Lake City, majoring major-ing in bookkeeping and accounting. account-ing. She is now employed, part time, as clerk of Beaver County Selective Selec-tive Service Board. Howard W. Bradshaw, the Republican Re-publican candiadte for County Treasurer, also is a native of Beaver. Bea-ver. One of the fourteen children of H. Lafe and Annie Edwards Bradshaw, he was born Oct. 12, 192V. He attended the Beaver High School, from which he graduated. In 1947 he was called to fill an LDS mission to Northern California. Calif-ornia. Active in church affairs since his return, he recently was installed as acting mission president presi-dent of Beaver Stake Mission. In August, he was married to the former LaVern Beaumont. Louis Lessing, Democratic candidate for Beaver County Recorder, is filling the unexpired unex-pired term of G. Mitchell Tol ton, having been appointed to that position by the County Commissioners. He was born in Beaver, grad nated from Beaver High school and attended the University of Utah and the U S A C at Logan. A Beaver businessman for 17 years, he also worked in the Los Angeles office of the Union Oil Company, and the Lockheed Aircraft Co. and Kaiser Shipbuilding Ship-building Co. Much of Mr. Lessing's time has been, devoted to development develop-ment of Beaver County mining properties. In 1947 he married Myrl Parkinson. They have two sons Mrs. Dee Ferguson is visiting in Idaho. |
