Show AEOUT PEOPLE YOU KNOW i two couples spent a few days i at Yellowstone Park, and be- fore returning to their home in California they spent a few days in Milford visiting Mr. and Mrs. Gene Kirk and taking in the annual Forty-Niner celebration. I Linda Mills, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Mills of Lynndyl, j arrived last Thursday for a visit i with her grandparents, Mr. and ' Mrs. Frank Osborne. Linda re-! re-! turned to her home Tuesday afternoon. J Mr. and Mrs. Gene Kirk spent June 13th in Salt Lake City, to be present at the graduation ' exercises of the University of Utah. Their son Jack was graduated with a degree in j electrical engineering. Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Outzen attend graduation exercises at the University of Utah, June 13th. Their" 'daughter, Anna Marie Wright, was graduated with a degree in pharmacy. The Leland Thompsons are proud of their first child, born Tuesday, June 13th, in the Cedar City hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Farl Thompson and Mr and Mrs. Clinton Thompson are grandparents of the new arrival. D. . and Mrs. Harry Phillips and three daughters stopped off in Milford this week to visit the r cousins, Mr. and Mrs. W. G. While. They were en route to Oceanside, Calif., where Dr. Phillips is stationed at the U S Naval Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Miller are now settled in their new home. They have purchased the former Roy Bradshaw home. Sam Cline is confined to the j Iron County Hospital at Cedar ' City, receiving medical treat- ment after suffering a heart j attack Monday morning. His ' condition is reported as "crit-1 ical." j , . I John W. Smith, who has been employed at the White Market the past six months, has been ca''ed back to work on the Union Pacific, and is working out of Cedar City. Mrs. J. E. Yither left for Salt Lake Tuesday, and upon her re-ti;rn re-ti;rn will be accompanied by her granddaughter Connie, small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Vollhard. Margaret Bush is recuperating recuperat-ing in the Milford Hospital after aft-er a brief illness. j Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Kirk! and daughter Linda have returned re-turned to their home in Sher-' man Oaks, Calif., after then-vacation then-vacation in San Francisco and Salt Lake, where they joined Mi. and Mrs. Jack Kirk. The Nils M. Johnson, who has been attending a U S Navy electricians' school in San Diego, Di-ego, arrived in Milford Saturday Satur-day to enjoy a few days' leave before reporting for sea duty Sunday, June 17, at San Francisco Fran-cisco Mr. and Mrs. Verl Mapes of Tacoma, Wash., have been visiting vis-iting the past week with Mr. Mapes' brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Mapes. An expected guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Williams is Mrs. Clarence Jensen Jen-sen of Salt Lake, who will spend her vacation here. She is a sister of Mrs. Williams. j i Mr. and Mrs. Joe A. Sly of Hemet, Calif., were overnight guests at the home of his brother broth-er and family, Mr. and Mrs. Thursland D. Sly, May 29th. They were en route home from Toronto, Detroit, and other north and east points. Mr. Owen R. Smith Jr. of Salt Lake spent several days at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Owen R. Smith Sr. He returned home Sunday afternoon, aft-ernoon, accompanied by his mother. Mr. Smith has accepted accept-ed a position with the Continental Conti-nental National Bank in Salt Lake. While in the Capital City Mrs. Smith attended the Pontifical Requim high mass for Msgr. Michael Shean Monday Mon-day morning. Mrs. Lester Williams has returned re-turned from Salt Lake and Nephi where she visited her sisters and aunts. While there she also attended a reunion of the Bowles family, it being the first time in many years the nine brothers and sisters had all been together. Mrs. Williams' son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Alden Hardy and two children returned to Milford with her, spending a week in ! this city. Birthdays celebrated the past week included those of Harriet Cline, on June 8th; Sandra Beard, June 15th, and Marty Merry weather, June 15th. Diane Hollingshead, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Hol-; Hol-; lingshead of Minersville, was an overnight guest of Dixie Rob-I Rob-I erts, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Roberts. Earl and Ruth Limb named their new little daughter Francis Fran-cis Elaine. She was born at the Milford Hospital June 10th, weighing 7 lbs 9 oz. The is the first chiM for the Limbs. |
