Show OWEN DAVIS DIES IN MINERSVILLE AFTER LONG ILLNESS Owen Davis, 63, lifelong Min-ersville Min-ersville resident, passed away at 3 a. m. Tuesday, March 21, at his home in Minersville, after a lingering illness. Funeral services will be conducted from I the Minersville L D S Chapel I Friday afternoon, under direc- tion of Bishop Ruben Dotson. Mr. Davis was born in Minersville, Miners-ville, Dec. 16, 1887, to William J. and Lena Davis Colton. On June 2, 1909, he married Chloe Esther Rollins. He was a prominent prom-inent farmer and stock raiser of the community. Survivors, besides his widow, include the following children: Mrs. Arshal (Lelia) Evans; Shir-rel Shir-rel O. Davis, Daisel R. Davis, Neil Davis and Van E. Davis, all of Minersville; Richard Davis of Provo, Mrs. Burnell (Velma) McAffee of Payson; a brother, Leon James Davis, and a sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Martin (Laura) Sherwood, Sher-wood, both of Minersville; 19 grandchildren. Burial will be in the Minersville Miners-ville Cemetery. |
