Show WILLIAM DAVIES DIES OF GUNSHOT WOUND AT BURBANK HOME William B. Davies, 60, died -at his home in Burbank about 12 noon Wednesday, of an accidental acci-dental gunshot wound. About 6 o'clock Wednesday morning Mr. Davies, after building a fire, returned to his bedroom, and while moving a .22 rifle, it accidentally discharged, dis-charged, the bullet entering his skull. Dr. Freeman of Fillmore, Fill-more, flying his plane, arrived at the Davies home about 11 o'clock, but was unable to save ! Mr. Davies' life. A resident of Burbank for more than 25 years, Mr. Davies was' born in Fillmore, Oct. 23, 1889, a son of Edward and Augusta Davies. He married Anna Smith at Garrison in 1917. Survivors, besides his widow, include four children, Arvilla Davis of Pasadena, Calif.; Wilna Davies of Kanosh, Mrs. Roy Rowley and Laddie Davies of Garrison, and two grandsons. Funeral services will be held : at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, at Baker. |
