Show Father J. H. Valine is spending spend-ing a week in Northern California Cali-fornia with relatives and friends. Mrs. J. E. Yither spent a few days in Salt Lake last week. Father T. Halloran of Richr field is spending several days in Milford this week, attending to parish duties. Mrs. Laura Dearden, Joe C. Smith, Alex Hamilton and Harold Har-old Cline attended the, funeral of Thomas Davis Dearden in Fillmore, Wednesday. Mrs. Judy Briscoe left Monday for a rest trip to Monmouth, 111., where she will visit her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben McGuire, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Briscoe. Mrs. K. B. Coon and son Herbert Her-bert were in Salt Lake last week-end, visiting Mr. and Mrs. Blair Coon in their new four-room four-room apartment. Mr. Roy Bradshaw and Mr. Melton Waite left Tuesday evening eve-ning for Delta, Colo., where they will hunt elk. Mrs. Garnetta Hollis is in Chicago, Chi-cago, visiting with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Hearn of Cedar City were in Milford Sunday, Sun-day, visiting friends. Little Alice and Rex Ahlstrom of Cedar City were house guests last week of their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Glen McKnight. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Jones attended at-tended the funeral of Samuel Johnson, in Beaver, Monday afternoon. aft-ernoon. Mrs. Harold Edwards and children chil-dren were in Parowan last week, visiting Mrs. Edwards' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Lyman. Mr. and Mrs. Carlyle Gron-ning Gron-ning and children were pine nut hunting at Cougar Spar mine last Friday. Mrs. Earl Thompson and Mrs. Edna Mecham just returned from a trip thru the northern part of the state. The two ladies stopped in Springville and visited Mr. and Mrs. Joe Fotheringham. Mrs. Fotheringham is a daughter of Mrs. Mecham. The family was joined by Mrs. Thompson's son, Val Thompson of Tooele, and a trip to Duchesne was enjoyed by Mrs. Mecham, Mrs. Thompson and Val. At Duchesne they visited vis-ited Mr. and Mrs. Howard Waters, Wat-ers, son-in-law and daughter -of Mrs. Mecham. Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Johnston enjoyed a train trip through the Southern States, stopping at Kansas City, Kan., Little Rock, Ark., and New Orleans. Mrs. Johnson said she especially enjoyed en-joyed New Orleans, where they visited the Old French Quarter. They couple continued their trip to Greenville, Miss., where they visited Mrs. Johnston's brother, Mr. James M. Johnston. They were joined by Mr. Johnston's sister, Mrs. Mary Frazier of Alabama, Ala-bama, and all motored back to Milford. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Thomp; son of Long Beach arrived Tuesday Tues-day for a visit with Mr. Thompson's Thomp-son's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Wil-liam Thompson. Warren also hopes to get his Utah buck while here. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hollis are enjoying a two-week vacation vaca-tion visiting Mr. Hollis' relatives in Illinois. Mrs. Fay Bradfield is visiting her daughter and family in Bak-ersfield, Bak-ersfield, Calif. |
