Show Newluweds Honored at Garden Party Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Blair Coon were the honored guests at a garden wedding reception Saturday evening at the home of the bridegroom's .parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kimmel B Coon. In the receiving line were the bride and bridegroom, Mr. and Mrs. F..C. Scott, parents of the bride; Mr. and Mrs. Kimmel B. Coon, Herbert Coon, Francis LeRoy and Jerry Dean Scott, brothers of the newly-weds. newly-weds. The bride was lovely in a white formal trimmed in gold sequins, and her corsage was of baby-pink baby-pink roses. Mrs. Scott wore a black afternoon dress. Her corsage was of red roses and white gardenias, while Mrs. Coon chose a winter-white winter-white afternoon dress with a corsage cor-sage of pink roses and pink carnations. The garden was a lovely setting for a table which was covered with a hand - crocheted cloth over blue satin, with tall white tapers and a beautiful wedding wed-ding cake as the centerpiece. Helping with 1 I Mr. and Mrs. D. Blair Coon the many beau- tiful gifts which the couple received re-ceived was Miss Norma Grimshaw. Grim-shaw. Presiding at the serving table were Mrs. E. R. Jones and Mrs. A. L. McDonald. Serving more than 200 guests were Miss Madelyn Kohler, Miss Mary Jiminez and Miss Ada Jane Mahoney, all lovely in their pastel pas-tel formals. Soft music for the j occasion was furnished by Mrs. Hubert Hickman. Following the reception, the couple was honored at a wed ding breakfast at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hubert A. Hickman. Hick-man. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. D. Blair Coon, Mr. and Mrs. A. Gustavson, Miss Norma Jean Grimshaw, William L. McDonald, Mc-Donald, Philip M. Lund, and the ' hosts, Mr. and Mrs. Hickman. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Smith and daughter Patricia spent the first part of the week at Cedar City, visiting with their daughter Leah. |
