Show MRS. MARY HARDY DIES AT AGE OF 91 IN LOS ANGELES Mary Orwin Hardy, 91, early resident of Milford. died last Saturday evening at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Hortense Rice, 254 Foster Ave., Los Angeles. She had been ill since suffering a stroke in February. I Funeral services were held in Los Angeles, with burial in Baldwin Park, Los Angeles. She was born June 30, 1857, in .Chesterfield, England, a daughter of Ruben and Sarah Frost Orwin. She came to Utah in 1882, and married George Hardy on June 19, 1884, in Milford. Mil-ford. During her early years here she operated a rooming house, and from 1888 to 1907 she operated oper-ated a millinery and notion store She is survived by four chilj-dren, chilj-dren, Hortense Rice of Los Angeles, An-geles, Arthur Hardy of Gunnison, Gunni-son, Luther Hardy of Milford, and Francis Hardy of Chino, Calif.; 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great - great - grandchild; three sisters, Hannah Bowen of West Los Angeles, Effie May of Comp-ton, Comp-ton, Calif and Ellen Martin of Milford. |
