Show ZEKE HICKMAN TO HEAD MILFORD AMERICAN LEGION I Gerald M. (Zeke) Hickman, 23-year-old Army Air Forces veteran, vet-eran, was elected commander of Milford American Legion Post No. 16 at the regular meeting in the Old Library building last Monday. One of the youngest commanders in the state. Zck" has been active in the affairs of the Legion since his return from the European Theater of Operations Opera-tions in 1945. He served as a tail gunner with th? Eighth Air Force from 1943 until November, Novem-ber, 1945. Lynn Gillespie, another Army Air Force veteran, was elected first vice-commander, and Bud James, who served in the Navy, was named second vice-commander. Other officers named to serve for the coming year are: John Grimshaw, reelected adjutant: ad-jutant: Vernon Burns, re-elected finance officer; Sam Cline, reelected re-elected service officer; Richard Nelson, chaplain; James Hickman, Hick-man, athletic officer; Wayne Waddoups, employment officer; James Griffiths, sergeant - at -arms; Clarence Grimshaw, historian his-torian and property custodian, and Rozetta Koch, child welfare officer and sick and relief officer. offi-cer. Installation of officers will be at an open-air ceremony Monday, Mon-day, June 21, at the Legion's new open-air dance pavilion, with the Ladies' Auxiliary invited to participate par-ticipate and enjoy a joint lunch- eon and dancing party following " 'he instalation.
