Both sides rested in the fifth, then the Elks came along with a pair of markers in the sixth, and another in the top half of tne seventh. Root, who received a free pass in the home-towners' home-towners' side of the seventh, moved to second on a fielders' choice and scored on Fisher's double, but the rally ended when Arnold's foul was snagged snag-ged by the Elks' firstbaseman. |
