Show Encourages usage Nebo okays guidelines for rental of buildings The Nebo School District Board of Education approved approv-ed a set of nine guidelines for building use in the district dis-trict which outline the phil osophy of the district. Superintendent Su-perintendent Joe A. Reid-head Reid-head said he would continue to work on the rental policy pol-icy in order to include a 1 rental schedule for groups outside the district. Under the new plan, the district encourages the use of school facilities by community com-munity groups. The guidelines guide-lines are as follows: 1. All facilities should be made available for activities when in the interest of the community and such use does not conflict with school use. 2. The district will furnish fur-nish heat; lights, and water when not considered excessive. exces-sive. 3. The district cannot furnish fur-nish supervisory or cleaning services without charge. 4. Principals are encouraged encour-aged to work out arange-ments arange-ments to allow organizations to do their own cleaning with assurance of adequate supervision. 5. Persons are encouraged to use the high schools if possible. 6. The deposit shall be made with the principal prin-cipal and returned if the building is left in satisfactory satisfac-tory condition and supervising super-vising costs are not incurred. 7. Users desiring cleaning and supervisory s e r vices shall be charged for the ser vice provided. Failure to pay for services will prohibit further fur-ther use by delinquent organization. or-ganization. 8. This policy can only work if an attitude of cooperation coop-eration exists. Remember the buildings belong to the people, but care must be taken to protect the taxpayers tax-payers investment. Use of special facilities require that adequate precautions are required re-quired by the principal. 9. Organizations desiring use of facilities of a commercial com-mercial nature or for personal per-sonal benefit shall be charged charg-ed according to the established estab-lished fee schedule. Board members emphasized empha-sized that school facilities should be utilized to provide maximum service when such use is in the interest of boys and girls and local communities communi-ties within Nebo District. Board members approved a new building request which will be filled out by representatives of groups requesting re-questing use of school facilities. facil-ities.
