Show 1 i A MAKES CLIMB George Clark, 11-year-old sixth grader assisted his grandmother, Mrs. Annie Clark, 81 years of age of Elmlrage, Arizona, as she made the climb to Timp Cave August 23 and did it without even noticing the altitude she stated. Everything was beautiful. Her granddaughter and daughter-in-law, Jolene and Mrs. Inez Clark, also made the trip. Grandma Clark is visiting grandchildren In Mapleton. Eighty-one year old grandma climbs Timp Cave while here since the death of Mr. Clark. She lives alone and takes care of all her home duties. Keeping her pledge of several years ago that she would like '"' to return to Utah and climb to Timp Cave, Mrs. Annie Clark, " 81 years young, did just that last Saturday, August 23. Mrs. Clark, who was born in Mountain View, Stone County, Arkansas, May 8, 1888, is currently cur-rently visiting with her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Inez Clark and - family in Mapleton. Grandchildren Grandchil-dren are Jolene and Allan - Clark. They and Mrs. Clark i and Inez, made the climb to ' Timp Cave without incident, ti except that the younger Mrs. Clark reported she had to have a few rests. Grandma . Clark (J made it fine. Only hard part about the trip was coming down after they had completed their tour of the cave. She said ( everything was beautiful and 111; she thoroughly enjoyed it. Her grandson and granddaughter assisted her over the rough 1 spots on the trail and in the, cave. They were a big help she stated. Mrs. Clark had special praise too for a neighbor, Mrs. Joseph Banks, for her kindness to her ... while visiting here. She has s been to Utah once before.
