Show Archery hunters regulated on this year's kill Bow hunters should note that archery permits for the August 27 through September 11 archery season in Utah are considered in the same category cate-gory as control permits this year. Archery permit buyers are not eligible for an additional addition-al deer permit for the 1966 deer season, since hunters this year may obtain only one extra ex-tra permit for the State's additional ad-ditional hunts. Like last year, bow hunters, except those hunting during the rifle season, need not wear red colored clothing. The regular season deer tag may be filled during the archery ar-chery season along with the archery permit, but both deer must be killed with bow and arrow. The entire state is open to all hunters, except portions of Unit 20, Kamas, and Unit 23B, Currant Creek-Strawberry. These two units are restricted to 1,000 permits each. Check the 1966 deer proclamation for portions of these units. Archery permits go on sale August 8, 1966 at Department of Fish and Game offices and license agents. Bow hunters should obtain a free copy of the deer hunting proclamation at the same time. |
