Show Kolob Stake Explorers and their fathers invited to Monday event All Explorers and their fathers fa-thers of Kolob Stake will meet in the chapel of the stake house next Monday night, March 29, at 8 p.m., for a personal per-sonal standards night program. Donald Watts, stake leader, will be in charge. Special speaker for the program pro-gram will be Walter D. Bowen of the Brigham Young University. Univer-sity. Mr. Bowen has worked with youth for many years and began his formal teaching in 1955 in the seminary system of the LDS Church. He then went to Utah State University In- stitute where he taught for two years prior to returning to Brigham Young University, where he is presenly teaching religion. He is a bishop, also, of the 44th Ward, and is a father of six children. Also on the program, will be short talks by Boyd Wilson, stake high councilor and Phil Clark, an Explorer in the stake. Prelude and postlude organ or-gan music will be furnished by Darrell Bartholomew. Douglas Bartholomew will furnish a piano pi-ano solo. The purpose of the personal standards night program is to bring together the fathers and sons for an evening to hear important im-portant topics discussed man to man. It is the time in a boy's life that he and his father fa-ther have .common interests in hunting, fishing, camping, and sports of all kinds. It is also a time when standards need to be set for manhood. All Explorer Ex-plorer age fellows and their fathers fa-thers are urged to be in attendance. |
