Frank Falanga, 18, was arrested by Sergeant Glen Miller and officer Dave.Holm July 22 at the Lunt Hotel. According to the police, Hunter Cowan Hardware employee Kelly Moon thought something was suspicious when Falanga walked out of the store. Moon apparently followed Falanga and confronted him at the hotel about what was under his arm he was holding tightly to his body. She returned to the store and found out a .22 caliber pistol was missing, the police were immediately notified, and they arrested Falanga within minutes recovering the stolen gun in the suspect's suitcase. "She gave us an excellent ex-cellent description of the suspect which helped in a quick arrest. She was certainly on the ball to notice how he held his arm when he left the store," commented Holm about Moon. Falanga is currently being held in the Iron County Jail in lieu of a $10,000 bail for the second degree felony charge. |
