Show Boat competition SCOFIELD It's not your typical sport, but a large crowd gathered recently in a cove on Scofield Reservoir to view the second annual Fin's Inn Regatta model boat racing competition. Jim Towers of Salt Lake City won the overall competition with his victory in the .60 cubic inch and pver division. A racer known as "Sea L." won tne under .40 cubic inch crown. The models, which are all handmade or built from kits, have fiberglass hulls and are directed from small radio units held from shore. The boats run on nickel cadmium batteries and must be recharged after an average running time of 20 minutes |
