Mrs. Albertina Sax of Midvali returned home last Friday afte: spending an enjoyable week'; vacation in California. While it California she visited in Oja with Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Morgar Dennis and Jenae Palmer are visiting their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Larsen this week while their mother, Mrs. Ross Palmer of South Jordan attends leadership week at the Agricultural Agricul-tural College in Logan. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Pollock of Tropic visited with Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Long and daughters, Linda and Claudia, Tuesday. Later they left for Boise, Idaho, with Mr. and Mrs. Albert Pollock. Pol-lock. They will sipend several day9 visiting with relatives in Boise, Reno, Hawthorne and Tropic. Johnny Jenkins, son of Dr. and Mrs. II. C. Jenkins, is m St. Mark's hospital recuperating from an eye operation. Johnny's many friends wish him a speedy recovery. An exciting time was had Monday by Mrs. Verl Beckstead's Primary Lark class. Mrs. Rosa Scroggin entertained entertain-ed at a birthday party Sunday, Oct. 7, for her son Brent on his tenth birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Larsen visited vis-ited in Provo Thursday evening with Mr. Larsen's mother, Mrs. Jane Larsen. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Cowdell entertained en-tertained at their home Monday night for the following guests: Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Cowdell of Copperton, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Draper, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Cowdell, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Cowdell, Mr. and Mrs. Myron and with Mr. and Mrs. Albert Sax and family of Long Beach. Also enjoying the trip were Mr. and Mrs. Alfred McPhie and Mr. and Mrs. Alton Kaiser of Salt Lake City. A literature lesson will be held Tuesday morninig at 10 o'clock in the Copperton Ward Relief Society room." Copperton Ward Relief Society will hold their annual bazaar on October 26. A birthday party honoring Barbara Jimas on her ninth birth day anniversary was held Saturday Satur-day afternoon, Oct. 6 at her home given by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Jimas. Friends helping her celebrate the occasion were Christine Winn, Marjorie Garrett, Gar-rett, Claudia Long, Cherri Olsen, Christine Johnson, Myra Wilson of Bingham and Susan James f Clearfield. Games and refreshments refresh-ments were enjoyed after which they went to the show in Bingham. Bing-ham. Mrs. J. Dewey Knudsen and Mrs. Clinton Poulson motored to Ogden Thursday to visit their aunt, Mrs. Annis Christensen, and Mr. and Mrs. F. R. Watkins, friends of Hyrum Thornton of Quenemo, Kans., who has been a guest at the Knudsen home since Saturday, October 6th. Mr. Thornton is a cousin to Mrs. Knudsen and following his stopover stop-over in Ogden he will visit his son in Glympia, Wash. A visit to the LDS archives and library for genealogical study and visits at the homes of the E. V. Knudsens, Poulsons, and the A. J. Bobergs of Sandy have been included as well as sightseeing trips here in Bingham. Three Copperton members of the West Jordan Stake Relief Society attended the two days of the general Relief Society conference con-ference in Salt Lake City last Wednesday and Thursday. They were Mrs. L. E. Snow, Mrs. Al- bert Ray and Mrs. J. Dewey Knudsen. The Relief Society of Copper-ton Copper-ton Ward held regular work day Tuesday, October 9 and also a special opening party for coming year.- Plans are going forward for a bazaar to be held the latter part of October. |
