Football pads are barely put away, but the basketball season gets underway this Friday and Saturday with a tournament in Beaver,start-lng Beaver,start-lng at 6:00 each evening. Besides Beaver and Milford Mil-ford the other participants will be Panqultch and Mon-tlcello. Mon-tlcello. It should give bas-; bas-; ketball fans a preview of the coming season. Milford will have their first home game next Wednesday, Wed-nesday, with VaUey. Remember Re-member the game times, Jr. Varsity at 6:15 pjn. and Varsity at 8:00. The league season 'will not open until December 4 with Milford at North Sevier, Kanab at Gunnison and Enterprise En-terprise at Beaver. Parowan draws a bye in league play the first week. In Division 11, December 11, It will be Escalante at Plute,Wayne at Bryce Valley and Pangultch at Valley. Meanwhile, the rest of the league will get their practice prac-tice games underway after Thanksgiving. Milford and Pangultch are expected to be powers In their respective respec-tive divisions. Valley should come back strong In Division, 11 and Gunnison should be a contender In Division I. But don't count anyone out this early In the game.
