Minutes of the Beaver City Council, Beaver City Council met in regular session at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 6, 1981 with the following members of the council present: Mayor Robert O. Christiansen, Councilmembers; Joe Keller, Kel-ler, Mike Robinson, Henry Willesen, Keith Barton and Lynn Bradshaw. George B. Low the City Recorder, Gordon Baker the City Manager Mana-ger and Hal Lessings the Deputy City Recorder were also present at the meeting. Chris Ballard and John Williams of the Five County Association of Governments met with the Council and presented pre-sented to the Council a Outline Out-line of Planning Program for Beaver City. Clell Edwards a real estate agent stated he has a parcel of land listed for sale which Is located South of the Chevron station on the South Freeway Interchange. Inter-change. Mr. Edwards requested re-quested a commitment from Beaver City thatSewerSer-vice thatSewerSer-vice would be available to this property. It was the consensus con-sensus of the council that no commitment by Beaver City would be made at the present time. Carol Kesler and Joanne . C lacker met with the Council and requested $500.00 In donation to B.P.W. The donation dona-tion would be used for the purchase of nuts and candy to be handed out by Santa Claus during the Christmas Holidays. After discussion of the two low bids Councilman Kesler moved, Councilman Robinson Robin-son 2nd, Beaver City accept the low bid of Thompson Roofing attached hereto as exhibit 220 E. All voted in favor of the motion. Councilman Kelser requested re-quested that the flag pole which is in storage at Beaver Bea-ver City Warehouse be used at the War Veteran Monument. Monu-ment. It was the consensus of the Council this would be appropriate. City Manager Baker reported re-ported the Librarian had requested re-quested a new mud mat at the Library. It was the consensus con-sensus of the Council the mat should be ordered. Bills were presented and approved for payment. Minutes of Sept. 15, 1981 Council Meeting were read and approved as read. Councilman Barton moved Councilman Willesen 2nd, a bill from Jacks Sales &Ser-vice &Ser-vice in the amount of $465.60 be approved for payment upon presentation. All voted in favor of the motion. Recorder Low reported on his investigation of the safety of propane compared to gasoline. Propane Is safer 1 in a Police car type situation. No further business was ' presented before the Council and the meeting adjourned at 2:00 a.m. |
