Show A parka day makes a pleasant stay Cedar Breaks The cliffs, white and orange at the top, dissolve into deep rose and coral as your eye follows the gothic walls to the bottom of the canyon. Cedar Breaks National Monument is a popular attraction surrounded by spectacular mountain meadows and forests. A great spot for a picnic, the cool mountain air makes a visit to Cedar Breaks most enjoyable. Zion Open year-round, Zion National Park is the showplace of Utah's scenic areas. You'll half expect to see Butch Cassidy or the Sundance Kid riding by. From the treacherous Narrows to the Great White Throne, Zion is a fascinating park. There's numerous footpaths to hike to get a view of some interesting formations. The campground and visitor center in the park are both excellent. Bryce Each park is a unique experience. The red spires of Bryce Canyon National Park challenges the imagination. Look carefully and you can see Queen Victoria and Thor's Hammer. There are trails for hiking or horseback riding. Rimmed by green forest, Bryce Canyon is a surprising contrast. A scenic drive runs tne 20 mile length of the park. Grand Canyon The drive to the Grand Canyon from Cedar City is through the beautiful Jacob Lake region of northern Arizona. Or you might try a scenic flight from Cedar over several canyons on your way to the unforgettable sight of the Grand Canyon from the air. Cedar City boasts an airport with the most modern facilities in southern Utah. They can handle all but the largest commercial jets. Lake Powell-Glen Canyon The clear blue waters of Lake Powell and the interesting Glen Canyon dam are a short drive away. Enjoy waterskiing or exploring by boat the many inlets of the lake. Hike to famous Rainbow Bridge National Monument. |
