Clark Tolbert's family and the DickSwallowfamily were at the Temple In St. George to do some work. Owen Gonder and Dean Baker drove to Ely on Sat. for meetings. They are on the Mt. Wheeler election board. So many people to choose from. Remember it's Impossible Impos-sible for a woman to be married to the same man for 50 years. After the first 25, he's not the same man. lngs lasted until Thursday, and then it was transferred, to Salt Lake for the Friday session. Doctor appointments in Salt Lake were kept by Mol-lie Mol-lie and Wayne Gonder and also Carl and Aleeda Dear-den. Dear-den. And the funniest thing happened. The lights all went out and Carl was In the middle of his physical exam. They had to move to a room ' with a window for light so they could finish. After the exam, they were going shopping. shop-ping. But the store lights and street lights were out. Carl shouted at those dumb drivers and then got out of Salt Lake. It is much nicer out here. Danielle Gonder after much assurance of cold drinks, ice cream and more ice cream, allowed Pat and Owen to take her to Delta on Wednesday to have her tonsils out. She was back in her nice warm hospital bed when the power went out. Before the power was back on at the Delta hospital, there was a new life that just couldn't wait to come CROBERTA COimj Shades of Salt Lake! The fog! We have had it for one week now and It is getting tiring. The landscape is outstanding, out-standing, with the thick cov- erlng of frost, but gosh, we would like to see that round ball of fire, called the sun -soon. We were on the road again , last Wednesday, we went to Ely. We drove out of the . fog at Strawberry and when we returned we got back in it at the same place. Bud and Gen Richardson were hosts to their kids, Chubb, Shirley and the two gals. They spent the night and then returned to Ely to load up and away they go back to Death Valley and the warmth. So Bud andGen a birthday. (See Bud, I didnit a birthday. (See Bud, I didn't say it was yours!) The 18 -wheelers are moving mov-ing through again. They are moving the big rig from the 16 mile marker. Now they go to somewhere in Nevada to do the same thing, drill those deep holes. One flat tire isn't very nice and two are a pain, but three flat tires is just pure rotton luck. Just ask Bill Williams. Yup, three flats on the water truck. Good thing there were 15 other tires that held. So a fast trip to Delta for tires was in the making, but everything is now back to normal. Arvilla and Austin Williams Wil-liams were in Delta Thursday Thurs-day and then again over the weekend. No one wants to stay in this foggy area. Jeannle and Darwin Wheeler Whe-eler and their two little ones were in the Provo area to buy supplies for their nice store. It is sure nice to have the store back in service. serv-ice. Tuesday, most everyone was at the State line Hotel in Wendover. It was a hearing hear-ing on the very poor telephone service that we have in this area.
