Show GEOTHERf'AL EXHIBIT AT COUNTY FAIR An information booth explaining ex-plaining geothermal energy , resources in the state will be on display at the Beaver County Fair, August 14 - 15 and 16th. The booth, ' entitled 'Utah's Geothermal Energy' Ener-gy' and a slide presentation tell how geothermal energy is being used in. Utah today, to-day, and how this resource will help meet out future ' energy needs. Beaver County has three geothermal areas. The Roosevelt Ro-osevelt Springs, KGRA Is rated one of the best In the world, and it is expected that electrical generating facilities fa-cilities will be started In the near future. It has seven commercial wells drilled. drill-ed. One well in the Cove Fort KGRA will be used to help produce alcohol for gasohol, and is expected to go into production next year. The display is being used as a public information service serv-ice by the Utah Division of Water Rights. |
