Show LETTERS to the Editor Dear Editor: On behalf of the millions of children suffering from lung damaging diseases and the Colorado Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, I say Than You to the Citizens of Milford. So many people contributed con-tributed generously to the Walk - A - Thon, not only in dollars, but in valuable time and effort. A special thank you to the members of the Jeep Patrol, Edna Nichols, Mary Underwood, Connie Wads worth, and Kathy Acklin for helping the kids during the Walk - A -Thon. A total of $162.35 has been raised by Stephanie Rogers, Debbie Munk, Jamee Max-ey, Max-ey, Michelle Mayer and Wendy Wen-dy Mayer to support the programs- of assistance and education and to help national na-tional programs of research and care which ultimately benefit all the children with lung damaging diseases. We can be encouraged because be-cause our dollars are help- Card o? TliQiiEis ing research surge ahead to find a control or cure for cystic fibrosis and to develop better care for children with other lung damaging diseases. We can also be encouraged be -cause CF children are living longer, more productive lives. Our progress is worthy of recognition and pride and we thank our friends in Milford Mil-ford for helping make it possible. At the same time, we ask renewed dedication to the continuation of this fight against lung damaging diseases in our children.
