These home .improvements .improve-ments would include the installation in-stallation of insulation in homes, the addition of storm doors and storm or Insulated windows and other weather -ization improvements. Also included are solar installations instal-lations either for supplemental sup-plemental hot water heating or for home heating. Utah Power and Light Co. said there has been some customer misunderstanding about its proposed pricing concept. The new pricing structure provides that new customers and growth customers cus-tomers be required to pay the price of electricity at the cost of the next reauired plant. The proposed pricing pric-ing structure would affect only those UP&L customers registering kilowatt hours growth over a base period and new customers requir- ing new hookups. The company emphasized that only after exhaustive hearings and probably modification modi-fication would the new pricing pric-ing go Into effect 1982 at the earliest. The utility also said there was some misunderstanding misunderstand-ing about Utah pumping irrigation ir-rigation rates. Pumping rates as well as other tariffs tar-iffs are to be approved by the PSC, and existing irrigation ir-rigation schedules reflect . the appropriate rate incre -ases shared by other UP&L customers.
