He died there inSeptember 1946 from uremic poisoning. Sister White is remembered remem-bered by hundreds of people for her thoughfulness in remembering re-membering their birthdays. Children and adult alike were remembered by a telephone call from her. She never failed to compliment anyone who had performed in any way. . She was home -bound for some time before she died, but kept her telephone by her and used it for good. She has been greatly missed by the many beneficiaries of her kindnesses, as well as her loved ones. She helped many people in times of need, during illnesses, ill-nesses, financial difficulties and various sorrows. She spent one winter in Mesa, Arizona doing temple work. She was deeply interested in family histories and family relationships. Sister White bore up bravely under many adversities. adver-sities. In 1915 and again in 1918 her husband had nervous ner-vous breakdowns, which prevented pre-vented him from performing his duties regularly. This threw additional burdens on her. In March 1922, while her oldest son, Bill, was on a mission in England, George D. caught pneumonia and died. Bill finished his mission mis-sion and later the other two sons, Elmer and George, filled missions in Europe. In October 1940 her youngest young-est daughter, Zola Dailey, who had helped her mother considerably, died following surgery. Elmer was called into the US Army early in World War II, and was released re-leased in Europe after the end of the war. After a short time he re-enlisted and served in the Army of Oc- |
