Buffy Hardy, daughter of Dennis and Bonnie Hardy, celebrated her 5th birthday with a party at the park. There were forty children , that attended. Dennis and Bonnie Hardy and children have returned from a week's vacation at San Bernadino, Calif. They were the guests of Bonnie's 1 brother, Ray andEavon Per kins. While there they visited visit-ed Disneyland and Dennis l ' went deep sea fishing. Mr.andMrs.Russel Grov-er Grov-er and Mrs. Aleen Louis of Compton, Calif., andMr.and Mrs. Eddie Brown and family fam-ily and Mr. and Mrs. Steven Louis and family of Calif, were guests of Mrs. Altheda Gale and Euzell Thomas. They came to attend the Benjamin Ben-jamin Eyre Banks family reunion. Also attendingfrom Milford were: Mr. and Mrs. Carl Boyter and family and Mr. and Mrs. Don Youngand family; also Mrs. Gaye Schow anddaughterofSunset, Utah. Mrs. Frank Thompson has recently returned from Wendell, Wen-dell, No. Carolina where she visited with her daughter, Patricia and her husband Harry Cashwell and three grandchildren, Teresa, Lynda Lyn-da and Brenda. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Orton of Henderson, Nev. visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thompson, recently. Vilate Lang had the pleasure plea-sure of a visit from her daughter, Mrs. Coleen Stevens Ste-vens of Salt Lake City. They attended all of the Shakespearean Shakes-pearean plays at Cedar City and enjoyed them very much. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Smith of Salt Lake visited his mother, moth-er, Emma Smith, over the weekend. Bishop Vance Fisher and . his wife Lowella have been visiting in Milford these last two weeks. They came for the wedding of their nephew, Robert. Fisher, and stayed for the funeral of another nephew's (Tim Fisher) wife. This has been a two -week period of joy and sorrow for the Mitch Fisher family. Mr. andMrs.MaxMecham have had a number of children chil-dren and nieces and nephews visit for the last two weeks. Over the 24th weekend were: Wayne and Patty Mecham of Cedar City, Max's son Paul and wife Peggy and three children of Richfield, Max's daughter Lois Barlow and two children of Cedar City, M ax's niece Jackie Barbata and three children from Salt Lake City; nephews, Bill Thomas of Salt Lake City and Bob and Ada Thomas and four children of Jerome, Idaho all came to help Max celebrate a belated sixtieth birthday. Paul and Peggy Mecham and three children stayed over until this past weekend. Their daughter, Melanie. had eve suretrv in NEW PAINT JOB: Badly needed for several years, the Milford High School is getting a new paint job on the trim . School personnel are doing the job and it really looks nice. A bosun's chair rig is hoisted by the vehicle below and then the crew paint from it (inset). The paint will give a new luster to the structure which was built in 1915. Cedar City and Marge took care of their son Michael while Melanie was in the hospital. hos-pital. Florence Hiatt, who has had back surgery at the LDS Hospital, returned home Sat -urday. She is doing well, but must take it easy, so will be confined to her bed for a while. Bonnie Hardy is the new zoning committee secretary. Mr. and Mrs. ReedGillins and Mrs. andMrs. Roy Myers of Milford and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Barlocher of Enterprise, Utah recently returned from a trip into the Uinta Mountains Moun-tains in the northern part of the state. They took eight horses (two were packhors-es) packhors-es) and packed into the moun -tains to camp, fish and enjoy en-joy the area. They camped at Kidney Lake , but spent some time at the other lakes in the area. They report that the area is really beautiful and they all enjoyed the trip very much. Wanda Munk is home after spending a month inAnchor-age, inAnchor-age, Alaska visiting her son, TSgt. andMrs. DonaldMunk and their three sons. Like the Alden Johnsons, they also visited Portage and Mata-nuska Mata-nuska Glaciers, Mt. McKin-ley, McKin-ley, Fairbanks and GlenAlyn. The country is beautiful and the weather ideal. Donald is a medic in the US Air Force Hospital at Elmen-dorf Elmen-dorf AFB. Keith and Connie Bush and David and Don spen the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Bush. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Baxter Bax-ter had their children home visiting and to attend the Baxter Bax-ter reunion on the 24th of July. They were: Mr. and Mrs. Charles Baxter and three children from Electric City, Washington, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Baxter and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Daly and five children, all fromTroutdale, Oregon, Mr. and Mrs. Craig Baxter and three boys and Vaught Mclntyre, all from Portland, Oregon. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Baxter toured Zion and Bryce Canyon Parks while here. Mr. and Mrs. Mike Daly and children and Mr. and Mrs. Craig Baxter and children and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Baxter spent the evening attending a barbecue bar-becue dinner at Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Fotheringham's in Cedar City. While here they met another brother, Mr. and Mrs. Dixon Foth-eringham Foth-eringham and daughter Patsy Pat-sy and a friend. |
